An adjustable arm does not make a grooming table height-adjustable. The arm changes the position of an attachment; the tabletop is what changes your working height. This distinction is easy to miss when both features appear in a long marketplace title.
Three kinds of adjustment
A manually adjustable folding table may use telescoping legs or another locking arrangement. The instructions determine how and when that adjustment can be made. Do not assume it can be changed while occupied. A hydraulic table uses its specified pump and release controls. An electric table uses a powered lifting mechanism. These choices differ in how convenient they are to change during a working routine.
Begin by deciding whether you need occasional setup adjustment or frequent changes during use. If the table will stay at one height for the same person and dog, manual adjustment may be sufficient. Shared workstations or varied dog sizes make control access more important.

The manufacturer lists the Flying Pig FP3000A with a 12–40-inch lifting range, while its FP4000A is listed at 10.5–39 inches. How to interpret top-rated adjustable tables
A star rating can help identify owner feedback, but it is not a measurement of height suitability or stability in your room. Check whether reviews apply to the selected size and mechanism. A shared listing may group fixed, manual and powered variants together.
Look for comments explaining the reviewer’s setup: table location, frequency of height changes and whether access to the controls was convenient. Adjustment changes the workspace too
Inspect the complete travel area shown in the manufacturer’s drawings. Cords, storage baskets and nearby furniture must stay clear throughout movement. A base that fits comfortably at one height may still require clearance elsewhere as the mechanism operates. Put the dog’s supplies outside that moving area.
For a manually adjustable model, inspect the locking points during assembly and follow the model’s procedure for setting equal leg positions. For a powered model, learn the controls with the empty table before introducing the dog. An unusual movement or failure to hold position needs manufacturer support, not a workaround.
Before paying, ask the seller to identify which measurement refers to the tabletop and whether the listed range applies to the chosen top and base combination. Keep that answer with the order details. A precise configuration is a stronger basis for a purchase than an adjustable label repeated throughout the listing.
